Soccer Recap: Long Takes a Loss

Long managed to keep up with Carroll until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Long Rebels lost 7-2 to the Carroll Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bea Anderson wasn't going to let Carroll walk away unscathed as she scored both of Long's goals, bringing her season total up to three goals.

Long now has a losing record of 0-1. As for Carroll, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Long will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carroll, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ariton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Carroll is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season.
