Football Game Preview: Edison Red Raiders vs. Jackson Generals

The Edison Red Raiders will take on the Jackson Generals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Edison has seven straight wins, Jackson has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Jackson's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Edison hadn't allowed a single point the last four times they've hit the field. Edison blew past Carol City 28-0 on Thursday. Considering the Red Raiders have won five games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Jackson fell victim to American and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 27-0 loss at the hands of the Patriots.

Edison pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.3 points on average over those games. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Edison was able to grind out a solid win over Jackson when the teams last played back in April of 2021, winning 19-6. Does Edison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jackson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
