J.H. Rose's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Jacksonville. The Rampants haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Owen Simmons, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Jacksonville off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Parker Watson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Ethan Simmons was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Northside - Jacksonville didn't have quite enough to beat Havelock on Wednesday and fell 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Monarchs in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
