While Cherry Hill East's win against Triton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Michael Fekete, who gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Triton off the board. Fekete also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cherry Hill East is 2-0-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-7-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Cherry Hill East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Hanni, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Cherry Hill East's win bumped their record up to 6-7-2. As for Triton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
