Baseball Recap: Luverne Find Success

Luverne never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pipestone on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the Arrows. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Arrows: they've now won three in a row.

Blake Sauer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Sauer was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Luverne got a big performance out of Landon Ahrendt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Ahrendt a new career-high. Maddux Domagala was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Luverne's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Pipestone, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
