Volleyball Recap: Concord Has No Trouble Against Ygnacio Valley

Concord not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th. They put the hurt on the Ygnacio Valley Wolves with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Concord was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-5.

Concord found their leader in sophomore Edris Asadi, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Asadi.

Concord was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive games.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Ygnacio Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Concord will face off against Summit K2 at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ygnacio Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richmond at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th.
