Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hickory). Their defense stepped up to hand the Indian River Braves a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Hickory haven't had any issues with Indian River recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Hickory's offense was hitting Indian River from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Charlotte Petchel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for Indian River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
