The Mount Si Wildcats will face off against the Eastlake Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mount Si 3.7, Eastlake 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Mount Si is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since March 15th on Monday. They fell just short of Woodinville by a score of 4-2.
Mount Si saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Gregory, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Gregory's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Eastlake gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juanita, sneaking past 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won six in a row.
Dominic Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other pitching news, Colin Chapman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Larson Kohlman, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Beam, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mount Si, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-5.
Mount Si came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastlake when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
