Soccer Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

If Plano was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Illinois Math & Science Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Woodstock Blue Streaks who were credited with the win on Friday. The Woodstock Blue Streaks got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Plano Reapers' one. Plano have struggled against Woodstock recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Plano's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Woodstock, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Looking ahead, Plano will head out to face off against Johnsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodstock, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 defeat against Antioch on the 18th.
