Softball Recap: Ferris Saxons vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats
After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Ferris finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mt. Spokane Wildcats, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 back in March.
Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Mt. Spokane, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.
Coming up, Ferris will face off against Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.83 runs per game on average), something the Saxons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mt. Spokane, they will head out on the road to challenge Lewis & Clark at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
