Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville lost to Champaign Central back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings fell 7-2 to the Maroons.

Danville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kealee Alyea, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Gabby Crider also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Danville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Champaign Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3-1.

Coming up, Danville will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Oakwood at 4:30 p.m. As for Champaign Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
