Basketball Recap: Trenton Bulldogs vs. Lawson Cardinals
The Trenton Bulldogs lost against the Lawson Cardinals back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Trenton was the victim of a rough 59-38 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. Trenton has not had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Lawson found their leader in underclassman Brogan Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Willoughby, who scored 16 points.
Trenton has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Lawson, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will take on the Midgets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Putnam County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Missouri (the Midgets are ranked 165th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 397th). As for Lawson, they will be playing at home against the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
