Softball Recap: Christian Brothers Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rio Americano last Wednesday, Christian Brothers came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Vista del Lago Eagles on Monday, falling 15-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

Maya Torres led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lillie Warren, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Christian Brothers has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Vista del Lago, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Christian Brothers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vista del Lago, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against Pioneer on the 7th.
