Baseball Recap: Bluffton Takes a Loss

Bluffton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Bluffton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Eachus, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Evan Speicher, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Lima Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bluffton will challenge Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Lima Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Allen East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
