Basketball Recap: North Davidson Comes Up Short

North Davidson played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 48-18 loss at the hands of the Starmount Rams. The Black Knights were down 37-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Madelyn Minton and Kerrigan Edmonds, who each put up four points. Jade Langley held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Carley Money went supernova for Starmount, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Those 21 points gave Money a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Swaim, who posted 12 points and three steals.

North Davidson dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Starmount, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

North Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-18 loss against Watauga on the 26th. As for Starmount, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-40 victory against Triad Baptist Christian Academy on the 27th.
