Baseball Recap: El Reno Finds Home Field Redemption Against Marshall

There's no place like home for El Reno, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Marshall Bears get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Gavin Tinsley was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Kyson Jenkins also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

El Reno was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

El Reno's win bumped their record up to 9-2-2. As for Marshall, their loss was their 27th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: El Reno beat Marshall by a score of 10-0 later that day.
