Basketball Recap: Bishop O'connell's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bishop O'Connell put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 victory over the IMG Academy Ascenders. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 80-69 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop O'Connell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darius Bivins, who posted 18 points along with eight assists and five boards. Bivins' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Justin Edwards was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Bishop O'Connell's record is now 3-0. As for IMG Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
