Baseball Recap: Bristol Triumphs

Bristol came out on top against Plumstead Christian on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Warriors walked away with a 12-8 win over Plumstead Christian. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Plumstead Christian, too.

Bristol got a big performance out of Trae Anthony, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Conner Appshire was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Bristol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plumstead Christian only posted an OBP of .353.

The victory made it two in a row for Bristol and bumps their season record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Plumstead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Bristol will head out to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Plumstead Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Leadership Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
