Basketball Game Preview: Century Jaguars vs. Forest Grove Vikings

The Century Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Forest Grove Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Century will be strutting in after a victory while Forest Grove will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Century strolled past Glencoe with points to spare, taking the game 64-46.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 72 points the game before, Forest Grove was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were dealt an 81-29 loss at the hands of Sherwood. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Bowmen are ranked 12th).

Century has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Forest Grove, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-9 record.

Century ended up a good deal behind Forest Grove in their previous meeting back in January, losing 65-50. Can Century avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
