Overton had won three straight road games and Jayden Edwards did his part to make it four on Friday. The Overton Mustangs walked away with a 50-43 win over the Arp Tigers thanks in part to Edwards, who went 6-for-8 en route to 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games he's played.

Overton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points over those games. As for Arp, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.

Overton and Arp are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Overton will square off against Union Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Grove will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Overton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arp, they will face off against Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
