Basketball Recap: Clear Lake Falls Short of Clear Springs in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clear Lake can now relate to. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Springs Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Chargers are ranked 39th).

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Clear Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clear Springs beat Clear Lake by a score of 58-54 on Wednesday.
