Basketball Game Preview: Seagraves Eagles vs. Ropes Eagles

Seagraves is 0-7 against Ropes since December of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Seagraves Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Ropes Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Neither Seagraves nor Ropes posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Seagraves will head into Tuesday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by Whiteface 79-20. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1245th, while the Antelopes are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, Ropes lost to Whiteface on the road by a 41-22 margin on Friday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Seagraves' loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Ropes, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11.

Seagraves was dealt a bruising 61-10 loss at the hands of Ropes in their previous matchup on January 3rd. Can Seagraves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
