Baseball Recap: Woodcreek Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Woodcreek and Roseville, and Roseville kept the tradition alive. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Timberwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Ayden Gomez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in hits (zero).

Woodcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Roseville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11.

As of now, neither Woodcreek nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
