Basketball Recap: Blacklick Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Blacklick Valley entered their contest against Turkeyfoot Valley Area on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings lost 62-41 to the Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 71-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Blacklick Valley still got an impressive performance from Eli Sheesley, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Quentin Miller was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lance Jones, who went 9-for-20 en route to 19 points along with eight assists and five steals. The game was Jones' third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bronson Perez, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and three steals.

Blacklick Valley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Blacklick Valley and Bald Eagle Area will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on the 27th. Turkeyfoot Valley Area and Frankfort will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
