Basketball Recap: Northview Piles Up the Points Against West Vigo

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northview). They breezed by the West Vigo Vikings to the tune of 68-26 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Knights with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the defeat, West Vigo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lydia Jones posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for West Vigo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Northview will be playing in front of their home fans against Terre Haute North Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Vigo, they will host South Putnam at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. South Putnam will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Vigo surely won't give up without a fight.
