Basketball Recap: Kennedy Catholic Comes Up Short

Kennedy Catholic lost to Mercer back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kennedy Catholic received a blow as they fell 72-54 to Mercer. Kennedy Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennedy Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mercer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Kennedy Catholic is taking a road trip to square off against Saegertown at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mercer, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Farrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Steelers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
