Baseball Recap: Clear Creek Takes a Loss

If Clear Creek was feeling good fresh off their 24-5 takedown of Arrupe Jesuit on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golddiggers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Estes Park Bobcats on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Golddiggers in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Clear Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Huff, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Estes Park, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Clear Creek will host Ellicott at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Estes Park, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bishop Machebeuf at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
