Charlotte Catholic has no trouble against Robinson

The Charlotte Catholic Cougars won against the Robinson Bulldogs on Tuesday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Charlotte Catholic enjoyed a cozy 61-42 victory over Robinson. That's another feather in the cap for Charlotte Catholic, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Charlotte Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gracynn Gough, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gough has scored at least 25% of Charlotte Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blanca Thomas, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Robinson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Hobbs. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camri Hobbs, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Charlotte Catholic and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Hopefully Ardrey Kell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. As for Robinson, they will head out on the road to face off against Salisbury at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
