Baseball Recap: Glenbrook South Beats Rogers for Their Third Straight Victory

Glenbrook South put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Rogers Pirates.

Nick Tauber made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tauber was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Charlie Kurcz looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Evan Bonnell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Jack Stefani was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Glenbrook South's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rogers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Coming up, Glenbrook South will be taking part in a tournament against Blackman at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blackman's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Glenbrook South's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rogers, they will square off against Marengo at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
