Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Berea-Midpark was riding high fresh off their 81-33 takedown of Gamble Montessori last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans lost to the Mentor Cardinals at home by a 84-67 margin on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Titans' undefeated start to the season.

Mentor found their leader in sophomore Jack Kennedy, who went 12-for-19 to rack up 32 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. Kennedy's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Tommy Pavicic was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Berea-Midpark dropped their record down to 2-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mentor, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Berea-Midpark and Mentor will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Titans will face off against rival Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mentor is set to challenge their familiar foe Euclid at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
