Volleyball Recap: Central Davidson Comes Up Short

Central Davidson lost against Phoenix Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Davidson Spartans lost 3-0 to the Phoenix Academy Firebirds. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Central Davidson ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.

Central Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Phoenix Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Central Davidson is taking a road trip to square off against Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Phoenix Academy, they will host Winston Salem Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Winston Salem Christian their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
