Softball Recap: South Columbus Comes Up Short

South Columbus lost against Whiteville on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stallions came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 16-3. Stallions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wolfpack since on Thursday.

South Columbus has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Whiteville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

South Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whiteville, they will challenge Heide Trask at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
