Recap: Cross Trojans vs. Hemingway Tigers

The Cross Trojans entered their tilt with the Hemingway Tigers with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Cross simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hemingway 52-0 at home. Considering Cross has won nine matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Mungin led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Jamez Way also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Cross' victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Hemingway and 2-8 Lake Marion (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 26% over those games). As for Hemingway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Cross will square off against Allendale-Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hemingway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
