Lafayette hadn't done well against York recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rams won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Falcons back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Lafayette had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-6.

Lafayette found their leader in freshman Alexandra Raegan (Ray-Gan), who had 15 digs and six aces.

Lafayette was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive matchups.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addaleigh Harmon, who had eight digs and six aces. Kenlee Washington was another key player, getting 62 digs and four aces.

Lafayette's record now sits at 8-10. As for York, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Poquoson on the 27th. As for York, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Jamestown on the 28th.
