Basketball Recap: New Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

New Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 79-18 loss at the hands of the Hilltop Christian Chargers. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

Logan Credle was New Life Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Hilltop Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Barbour, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Barbour a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Joyner, who made all 5 shots he took for 12 points.

New Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hilltop Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

New Life Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-5 loss against Bethel Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Hilltop Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-51 victory against Greenville Christian Academy on the 16th.
