Baseball Recap: Denver Christian's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Denver Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Colorado Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Wednesday.

Denver Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Stork, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Denver Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Colorado Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Denver Christian will square off against The Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunder are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Colorado Academy, they will face off against Holy Family at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
