Basketball Game Preview: Riverton Wolverines vs. Evanston Devils

The Riverton Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Evanston Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evanston took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverton, who comes in off a win.

Riverton took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They managed a 42-38 win over Star Valley.

Eric Smith and Branden Monroe were among the main playmakers for Riverton as the former posted 12 points and the latter put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Evanston faced Star Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Evanston was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Star Valley.

Riverton's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Evanston, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Riverton couldn't quite finish off Evanston in their previous meeting back in January and fell 53-50. Can Riverton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
