Baseball Recap: Dimmitt Triumphs

Dimmitt posted their closest win since April 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Muleshoe Mules 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Mules back in March, they had to take a 12-11 defeat.

Ga'Quorie Chatham was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Dimmitt's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Carpio, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dimmitt now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Muleshoe, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Coming up, Dimmitt will face off against Littlefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Muleshoe, they will take on Shallowater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Mules surely won't give up without a fight.
