Basketball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

If Sycamore was feeling good fresh off their 81-56 takedown of Montgomery Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sycamore War Eagles took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Creek Wolves on Tuesday. The War Eagles have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Liberty Creek, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore will face off against Station Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty Creek, they will challenge Trousdale County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Trousdale County: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Liberty Creek has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
