On Saturday, Williams beat Fredonia 45-36. That's two games straight that Williams has won by exactly nine points.
Williams can attribute much of their success to Fern Chatters, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Kai Mortensen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Mortensen is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Orozco, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Joseph City gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They put the hurt on Scottsdale Preparatory Academy with a sharp 56-32 victory. Joseph City's victory was all the more impressive since Scottsdale Preparatory Academy was averaging only 27.9 points allowed on the season.
Williams' victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Joseph City, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
