Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Falls Short Against Ranked Assumption

Sacred Heart faced Assumption in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Valkyries came up short against the Rockets, falling 3-0. The Valkyries haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Sacred Heart was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Assumption's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Sacred Heart still got an impressive performance from Campbell Miles, who had 18 digs and three assists. Miles has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Sacred Heart now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Assumption, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart will head out to face off against Highlands Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Assumption, they will square off against Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
