Basketball Recap: Braham Snags 11th Win in Last 14 Games

If Hinckley-Finlayson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Braham, they should've done a better job of containing Tyler Eklund. Everything went the Braham Bombers' way against the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars on Thursday as the Braham Bombers made off with a 65-39 victory thanks to Eklund, who almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Braham's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Doble, who posted 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Braham has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Hinckley-Finlayson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-21.

Looking ahead, Braham won't have much time to rest: their next match is against PACT Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. PACT Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Braham likes a good challenge. As for Hinckley-Finlayson, they will challenge Pierz at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
