Baseball Recap: Garinger Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Mecklenburg, Garinger was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Olympic Trojans as Garinger made off with a 15-8 win. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Garinger got a massive performance out of Diego Camero, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Camero a new career-high. Ramphy Rodr?guez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2.

Garinger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.

Garinger's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Olympic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Garinger didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 defeat against West Mecklenburg on the 13th. As for Olympic, they have also already played their next match, a 23-0 loss against Ballantyne Ridge on the 18th.
