Soccer Game Preview: Monroe Catholic vs. West Valley

Monroe Catholic is 0-6 against West Valley since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams will host the Wolf Pack at 7:30 p.m.

Monroe Catholic is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against North Pole on Tuesday. Neither the Rams nor the Patriots could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Jett McCoullgh and Talon Loving scored all three of Monroe Catholic's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, West Valley was not quite Dimond's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lynx by a score of 3-2. West Valley haven't had much luck with Dimond recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Monroe Catholic's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-1. As for West Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Monroe Catholic suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to West Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
