Volleyball Recap: Springfield Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Springfield won the last time they faced MacArthur and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Senators walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Generals.

Springfield never let MacArthur on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Becker got some help from Franny VonDeBur and her eight assists. Lucy Ambrose controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Springfield's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8. As for MacArthur, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Coming up, Springfield will challenge Glenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for MacArthur, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Clinton on the 15th.
