Volleyball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

If Stuart W. Cramer was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bessemer City on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Storm fell 3-1 to the Cherryville Ironmen on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ironmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Stuart W. Cramer was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cherryville work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 17-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Cherryville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kate Bookout, who had nine digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Bookout a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Shirley, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Stuart W. Cramer's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Cherryville, their record now sits at 11-7.
