Baseball Recap: Oakridge Comes Up Short

Oakridge lost against Reedsport back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against Reedsport, falling 8-1. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Maxwell Maher was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Oakridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Reedsport, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Oakridge will square off against Camas Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Reedsport, they will head out to take on Waldport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
