Softball Recap: Clinton County Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Clinton County got themselves on the board against Somerset on Saturday, but Somerset never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Briar Jumpers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

Clinton County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Somerset, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton County will host Adair County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Somerset, they will be playing at home against South Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
