Football Game Preview: Forest Wildcats vs. Lake Minneola Hawks

The Forest Wildcats will face off against the Lake Minneola Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest's defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so Lake Minneola's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Forest's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Belleview offense got past them. The Wildcats took a blow against the Rattlers on Wednesday, falling 33-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Rattlers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Lake Minneola ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Miami 19-18. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Stingarees are ranked 262nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lake Minneola, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
