Basketball Recap: Tellico Plains Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Tellico Plains, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Sweetwater Wildcats on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-47 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Sweetwater saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lilly Woodruff dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. That was a full 50% of Sweetwater's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alysa Gage, who scored seven points and 13 boards.
